Meet Rosey:
She has worked tirelessly to hold elected representatives accountable, organizing a "Die-In" at Congressman Will Hurd's office to demonstrate against Republican attempt to repeal the ACA, as well as leading weekly congressional office visits to ensure progressive voices and concerns were brought to Congressman Hurd.
Rosey has been active in the Bexar County Democratic Party, serving as Precinct Chair from July, 2017 to June, 2018.
She was a key organizer for the San Antonio Women's Day rally. and has worked with the San Antonio Free Speech Coalition, Planned Parenthood, Mothers Demand Action for Gunsense in America and many others.
A strong advocate for immigrants, she has used her language skills to educate undocumented immigrants about their rights and helped them fill out power of attorney cards for use in recovering their children from state custody.
As a staunch defender of those affected by Republican attacks on immigrants, voting rights, women's health, LGBTQ Texans and workers rights, her organizing skills and energy will be vital in helping the Texas Democratic Party achieve electoral success.
I’ve been with my husband for almost 26 years. We’ve lived in SD 25 for 21 years. We have 3 beautiful children. Our boys are twins, and our daughter came 15 months later.
That was in 1998 & 1999, respectively. She (Sophia) is now headed off to University of Chicago to study Physics & Math. My son Ish is headed to DC in August because he was awarded the Archer Fellowship. My son Ezra is an artist, videographer, and photographer and much more.
And, lastly, my husband is a General Surgeon (Solo Practioner, with privileges at the Downtown Baptist)
As small business owners, I know the challenges. Administering the office, I see how lack of Medicaid expansion hurts us as Texans. Meds that used to cost a few dollars are unaffordable. Deductibles are rarely met. We are losing patients because they can’t pay for their DEDUCTIBLE!
Also, Healthcare Insurance for our family is VERY EXPENSIVE! And it doesn’t cover much!
These are a few of the reasons I’m running for SDEC25 Committeewoman.
I respectfully ask for your vote.
