NEW YORK
Cynthia Nixon
Governor of New York
I’m running for governor because I love this state. New York is the only place I’ve ever lived, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. But I know that we can do better. We need a New York that works for all of us – a New York for the many, not just the few.
I was born in New York City, and I grew up in a one-bedroom fifth floor walk-up with my mom. I’m a proud public school graduate, and these days, an even prouder public school parent. For the last 17 years, I’ve traveled across this state to fight for better schools, LGBTQ equality, and women’s health care, including the right to choose.
This is the state where I started acting at age 12 to put myself through college when my mom told me she couldn’t afford to. This is the state where I made my career, raised my kids, and met and married the love of my life, my wife Christine.
When I grew up here, we didn’t have much money, but I still felt like anything was possible. I had opportunities that I just don’t see for the vast majority of New York’s kids today.
New York has become the single most unequal state in the country. The top 1 percent of New Yorkers earn 45 times more than the bottom 99 percent. Black and Latino families in New York still earn much less than white families. Women still earn much less than men.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
U.S. Congress District 14
It’s Time for a Political Revolution: Vote June 26th
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is running for Congress to create an America that works for all of us–not just the wealthiest few.
Ocasio2018 is a campaign that brings New Yorkers together to champion the needs of working families in the Bronx and Queens. Together we will create a nation of dignified healthcare, tuition-free higher education, quality employment, and justice for all - and we’re the only ones to do it without corporate money.
In order for us to put everyday New Yorkers first, we have to take on the powerful and corrupting influence of big money. There’s just no way around it. That’s also why I’m the ONLY candidate in this race to publicly pledge not to take Corporate PAC money. My campaign is 100% people-funded.
We’re the only campaign running the right way: no corrupt political machines, no big money PACs, and no back-door lobbyists. We put all our faith and effort into everyday people, families, and communities.

U.S. Congress Distict 23
I seek your support to better represent you.
I am living the reality of working three jobs to make ends meet, in an area burdened with some of the highest tax rates in the country. I’m facing rising, unsustainable health insurance premiums, and medication costs that are 30 times higher than in Canada. My wife has a pre-existing condition that will result in our family losing coverage if the ACA is gutted or not replaced with something better. I get it.
I have two young daughters, and I worry every day about the kind of world they will inherit. In 2018, they should not be facing sexual discrimination and harassment, unsafe drinking water and other environmental toxins, and the real threat of climate change.
I believe in giving back to my community, not taking from it. I went into business to contribute to the quality of life in our region, to share my passion for running, and to support my family. Government should be about taking care of our communities as well, and those who serve should do so out of compassion for their neighbors.
I am a product of my environment. I grew up in a close-knit community where many of my classmates went straight to work after high school. I attended college, but didn’t stay in academia. I love connecting to people of all backgrounds and hearing about their struggles and triumphs. Instead of division, I see possibilities for uniting and working together on our problems.
I don’t claim to have all of the answers, but I know where to find the right people for advice. I value connection, inspiration, and empowerment, and I want to work with people of all ages, races, economic backgrounds, and beliefs.
Michael DeVito Jr
U.S. Congress Distict 11
Helping young people find real solutions for 13 years.
Michael is a decorated Marine Corps Veteran born in Brooklyn and raised in Staten Island. He is a Democrat running for Congress across both boroughs.
A great educator once inspired us: in times of trouble, look for the helpers.
I wake up every day with the mission of being a helper. This is why I dedicate myself to my community, to advocacy, and to finding solutions for everyday people with everyday troubles. It’s what I’ve done for over a decade in my agency, and from the day I enlisted in the Marine Corps at 17 years old.
Alessandra Biaggi
State Senate District 34
Even if you don’t live in the district, this is a state race that impacts all New Yorkers.
I'm running because I believe that New York should be a leader in progressive governance, and because progress is being stopped by the IDC's fake Democrats at a time when state laws and policies have never been more important or more at risk.
Adam Baumel
State Assembly District 64
“I believe in a truly inclusive government that has a core identity of transparency and accountability. I believe in creating an atmosphere for people to be far more involved, in these crucial times that affect us all as citizens of the great state of New York.” – Adam Baumel
Tyler Pribuleck
School Board – Horseheads School District
My name is Tyler Pribulick. As a young concerned citizen of Horseheads and a recent graduate of Horseheads High School, I desire transparency and I want to reduce the influence of big money in politics. I want to promote cleaner energy solutions to enable a stronger and current energy infrastructure. I want a town board that actually cares about the people. I want the Town Council to work for you, not work against you behind your back.
Deborah Lynch
Chemung County Legislature District #3
I have lived in Horseheads District for 28 years. I grew up in Coring, NY where I graduated from Corning East High School in 1983 with a Regents Diploma, Attended Corning Community College from 1983 to 1985 and graduated with an Associates Degree in the Paralegal Program and a minor in Criminal Justice. I then went on to Albany State University to receive my BS degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice with a minor in business. I loved living in Albany but decided to move back to Chemung County in 1990. The 3rd district has not had a challenger from another party for many, many years and I feel its time to bring in some fresh ideas.
Peter Keenan
Chemung County Legislature District #12
The current county legislators represent the interests of the county executive and not the interest of their constituents. In 2018 the families of the Southside have the opportunity to send a true representation to the legislature.
Due to lack of time, I am using these cheat sheets for the rest of the candidates, but I have included a few I have endorsed with A Progressive Candidate's Campaign - USA in Oklahoma, Maryland and Colorado.
Candidates on the cheat sheets are endorsed by one or more of the following Progressive Groups: Bernie Sanders, Our Revolution, Our Revolution local groups, Brand New Congress, Justice Democrats, Democratic Socialists of America, Working Families Party, National Nurses United, and/or the Political Revolution.
Colorado
Nathan Clay - Independent
U.S. Congress District 7
I’m Nathan Clay and this is the beginning of my campaign to represent Colorado’s 7th District in The US House of Representatives.
I’ve decided to run for this office because our congressional leadership is full of self-interested liars; corporate sellouts that have more allegiance to their political parties and donors than they do to the American People.
I know that I am not alone in my belief that we are living in a society with an economy rigged for the ultra-wealthy and a totally corrupt political system.
Maryland
Ben Jealous
Governor of Maryland
Ben Jealous is a civil rights leader, community organizer, investor in startups for good, educator, former investigative journalist and a Rhodes Scholar who has spent his life bringing people together to get big things done.

Ben’s Maryland roots go back generations. His grandparents lived in Baltimore, where Ben’s grandfather worked on the B&O Railroad and his grandmother at Planned Parenthood. Ben’s mother grew up in the McCulloh Homes public housing complex in West Baltimore and helped to integrate Western High School in 1954 as a member of the NAACP’s Youth and College Division. Ben’s father was one of a small number of white men jailed during the Congress of Racial Equality’s efforts to desegregate Baltimore’s downtown business district.ben kid

Ben has extensive experience as a non-profit executive, serving as the past president of the Rosenberg Foundation, and the founding director of Amnesty International’s U.S. Domestic Human Rights Program.
Oklahoma
Tom Guild
U.S. Congress District 5
I'm a professor emeritus from the University of Central Oklahoma. My B.A. in political science is from the University of Oklahoma and my J.D. from Southern Methodist University. I was a delegate to both the 2012 and 2016 Democratic National Conventions.
What am I fighting for?
To implement a progressive populist agenda including a living wage, relief for college student debt, increasing Social Security benefits, spending 600 billion on infrastructure over a ten year period, securing Medicare, health care for all, and helping those of modest economic means and working people.
I supported Bernie Sanders for president in 2016 and was a Bernie delegate from Oklahoma to the Democratic National Convention. My views on economic, foreign policy, fighting racism, restoring voting rights, and fighting for struggling Americans is something I have dedicated my life to for several decades.
I want to take this opportunity to announce my candidacy for Congress in Oklahoma’s Fifth Congressional District in 2018, and to ask for your support. At an early stage of the 2018 election cycle, we have already been endorsed by Blue America and the Brennan Society. Let me share with you a primary reason that we were recently unanimously endorsed by the society.
The Brennan Society supports my progressive populist platform that includes increasing Social Security benefits, supporting public education, increasing the minimum wage, reducing college student debt, keeping our country's commitment to Veterans, providing health care for all Americans, and investing in infrastrucure by repairing crumbling roads, highways, bridges, and schools! I will fight to strengthen our economy and revitalize our political system to make them work for Oklahomans of modest means, working people, and the fast disappearing American middle class.
Thanks for your Support! Vote June 26!
