Francisco Pierre-Louis – Florida – Soil & Water Conservation
For A Future We Can All Believe In
MEET Francisco:
On June 21, 2018, Francisco Pierre-Louis announced his candidacy for Hillsborough County Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor - District 3.
Francisco Pierre-Louis was raised by two Haitian immigrants. During his 23 years of life, Francisco has learned the meaning of hard work and perseverance. In the summer of 2016, Francisco volunteered for the Community Voters Project. Community Voters Project is a program that helps increase civic engagement among underserved and underrepresented communities, focusing primarily on African Americans, Latinos, and in some locations, young people, through non-partisan voter registration and get-out-the-vote campaigns.
While working on the project in urban communities, Francisco discovered that the main reason for lack of political engagement in the community stemmed from felons having lost their voting rights. Francisco’s experience on the Community Voters Project motivated him to fight harder for social, economic, and environmental justice.
In 2016, Francisco founded the Green Party Alliance of Hillsborough Community College. In 2017, Francisco served as a SGA Senator at Hillsborough Community College. Francisco is currently serving as a Council Member of the Green Party of Tampa.
