TEXAS RECOMMENDATION: Ryan Ray – Texas State Representative - HD96
A Strong Advocate for Public Education
Meet Ryan:
I am a husband, a father of three boys, the son and grandson of veterans, a graduate of Crowley ISD, an attorney who works to defend taxpayers and the injured alike, an advocate for public education on the Crowley ISD School Board, and the Democratic candidate for Texas House District 96.
HD 96 runs from Crowley ISD on the west to Mansfield and parts of Arlington on the east, including Kennedale, the Rendon area and the Tarrant County section of Burleson.
For too long HD 96 has suffered from a lack of effective representation in the Texas House. The incumbent is more worried about appeasing his extreme political base than in our schools and communities.
My concerns are making sure our public schools get the funding they need, we are rehabilitating and not incarcerating the victims of the drug trade, no veterans are sleeping on our streets, the government in Austin supports - not impedes - our local officials, small businesses have the resources they need to thrive, all Texans are treated equitably regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation, and that we become the world leader in developing a vibrant green energy economy.
I need your support, please consider signing up to volunteer or making a contribution. My opponent is supported by radical elements who will make sure he is well funded - but he's been beat before, he can be beat again, and this is the year to do it.
As a school board member and tax attorney, Ryan has a unique perspective on school funding, and understands the burden property taxpayers are feelings because of failed leadership in Austin. Ryan has fought to ensure that students in his district receive the best education, while being accountable to taxpayers who pay for it. Unfortunately, Ryan hasn’t seen that same fight for public education and other issues affecting House District 96 from the current state representative.
For too long HD 96 has suffered from a lack of effective representation and common sense leadership in the Texas House. Ryan Ray wants to fight to ensure sure our public schools get the funding it needs and that students get the best public education possible and he wants to help alleviate the property tax burden on taxpayers. But he also wants to ensure that we have a more common sense government that find common sense solutions that strengthens local control of government and small businesses, that looks out for its most vulnerable citizens, including our veterans who have fallen on hard times, and ensures that all Texans are treated fairly, regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation.
Ryan Ray is an attorney who works to defend taxpayers and the injured alike. He is running for Texas House District 96, a south Tarrant County based district that runs from Crowley (in the west) to Mansfield (in the east) and includes portions of the cities of Arlington and Burleson, and all of Kennedale and Rendon.
I started school at Meadowcreek Elementary in Crowley ISD and graduated from Crowley High School, as did my wife. After law school I moved back into the district and have had the honor of serving on the Crowley ISD School Board since 2012 while at the same time building a small business employing a dozen people.
I am running to provide common sense representation for our district. Focusing on improving our education system, supporting the continued growth in our communities, and making sure our municipalities and small businesses have the support they need to thrive.
Southern Tarrant County needs a voice in Austin, for too long the incumbent has been the voice of the radical right - voting against the interests of the district in favor of his radical friends, trying to take money from public education and disabled children, working to promote anti-vaccination legislation, and just generally working to embarrass the vast majority of the good folks in the district.
With your support we can win this district back, just like we did in 2008. The race is close, but it will take a lot to win and I need your support to do it.
