Deborah Peoples for Mayor of Fort Worth

I believe it’s time. Time to stand up for Fort Worth, and time to stand up for each other. I am Deborah Peoples and I am running for Mayor.

I believe IT’S TIME to reject the so-called Fort Worth way that only benefits a small fraction of our great city.

Fort Worth is now the 15th largest city in the nation. We continue to grow and will likely see numbers of residents that few could have believed just 20 years ago. With this growth comes both challenges and opportunities. We have only one chance to get this right and the time has come to make sure we do.

So…

It is time to move beyond the old ways of Fort Worth where people are deliberately divided and led to believe there isn’t enough resources for all our neighborhoods.

It is time to move beyond economic development that does not deliver real economic opportunities for all our residents.

It is time to stop being in conflict with our schools. We must deliberately work with them as genuine partners to provide real opportunities for all of our children.

It is time to stop governing from crisis to crisis. We must offer real leadership with a clear vision for the entire city of Fort Worth.

It is time to stop denying communities a voice in our city government. We must ensure fair representation that will instill trust in city hall.

It is time to address our environment and provide real solutions to concerns on issues of public safety and natural disasters.

It is time to ensure accountability on public projects and stop letting them be used for the personal gain of a few well-connected individuals.

It is time to stop living in political fear and speak up to protect the human rights of all our neighbors.

It is time for the NEIGHBORHOOD to know that we hear them.

I believe it’s time. Time to stand up for Fort Worth, and time to stand up for each other. We have one chance to get this right. And we need a Mayor who will stand up for all of us.

I am Deborah Peoples and I am running for Mayor of the City of Fort Worth. I would be honored to have your support. It’s time.
