The City of Woonsocket deserve a working class leader. I have deep roots in our community. I was born and raised in Woonsocket, to Greek immigrants who came here for a better life.
I am a proud graduate of our city’s public education system, and have lived here my entire life, other than while in college.
I love this community, and the people, but I’ve seen what’s happened to it over the course of my lifetime.
Alex Kithes, candidate for Woonsocket City Council in the August 6th special election, describes the makings of a municipal Green New Deal, that will allow Woonsocket to regrow its economy on the industries of the 21st century, while doing its part to decarbonize our energy. He is counting on your support on August 6th!
Since graduating college, I’ve devoted myself to helping support zoning improvements in urban agriculture, new leadership for the city and state governments, efforts for consumer safety on issues like GMO labeling, and the fight for action on climate change.

Alex has been a community organizer and political activist for years, and wants to bring his passion for good government reform, climate action, educational opportunity, community growth, and economic justice to the city council.
Alex is running in a special election for City Council in Woonsocket, RI. He was the top vote-getter in the primary, but his opponent - a 16+ year incumbent - is fighting hard. The runoff general election is fast approaching, on August 6th, and we need your help!
